The strength of the materials used in the car body is gradually increasing to reduce the weight of automobiles. Generally speaking, as the strength of the material increases, the effect of spring-back gradually increases. Therefore, a mold with high technology is required to secure high-precision formability. Domestic steel companies such as POSCO and Hyundai Steel have the best technology for manufacturing super high-tensile steel sheets for car bodies. As collision safety regulations are being strengthened every year, the proportion of super-high-tensile steel body applications by major domestic and foreign automakers including Hyundai Kia Motors is increasing. Without excellent mold technology, the highest level of steel material would be useless, and a light and strong body would not be generated. SHINHWA ST Co., Ltd. has excellent hot stamping mold manufacturing technology.
The hot stamping molding technology is to manufacture ultra-high-strength parts with excellent Shape Hold-ability and a tensile strength of 1470 MPa or more by heating boron steel with high hardenability to an Austenite region of 900~950℃, transferring it to the press and have it molded and quenched around 800℃ by a mold with a structure in which water circulates. The mold for hot stamping molding is a mold with very high technical difficulty because it is necessary to accurately design and manufacture the material by predicting the dimensional change of the material due to heating, cooling, and micro-structure phase transformation from Austenite to Martensite. In this regard, SHINHWA ST has already secured next-generation hot stamping molding technologies, such as TWB (Tailored Welded Blank)-Hot Stamping, TRB (Tailored Rolled Blank)-Hot Stamping, and Hot Stamping & Piercing technology. We will continue to develop and supply a higher level of hot stamping mold to customers through continuous technology development, so that we can remain as a leading company in this field in the future.
